What counts as one call?
One HTTP request to any query endpoint. A /place lookup of 20 gids is one call. A /batch request is ten, flat, whether you send one address or ten.
Can I store the results?
Yes. Storing coordinates and gids against your own records is expected — it is how you avoid re-geocoding. Redistributing the results as a standalone dataset is a separate conversation; see Attribution & licensing.
Do I have to display results on a Mapailytics map?
No. Use any map, or none. We do not tie geocoding to a rendering product.
What happens when I hit my quota?
Requests return 429 with detail.error = "quota_exceeded" until the month resets, or until you upgrade. Nothing is silently dropped and you are never billed past your plan without choosing to be.
Is there a free trial of the paid tiers?
The free tier has no expiry, so you can build and test against it indefinitely. Upgrade when your call volume needs it.
